It's Been 2 Years...Gotcha Day #2!!
I still can't believe it has been two whole years since the LONG (boy it sure seemed that way )
 drive through St. Pete to Baby Home #1 to finally pick up Hunter.  He continues to be a challenge (such a stubborn little guy  ) and an amazement at his intelligence, wit, and charm. I'm afraid the girls are in trouble with this one!!  We weren't able to do much for him this year what with still paying for two houses (not going there) and Mom just getting over a nasty bout of strep throat, but we cuddled and watched the Daytona 500. Hunter loves his race cars!!I'm not sure what order these pictures will show up in, but one is of Gotcha Day 2005 (with the train sweater), one is Gotcha Day 2006 (overalls), and one is today. Folks, the spots on his shirt are blood... His first genuine bloody lip (Maybe NOW he understands why you don't get out all the toys in the toy box and walk through them?? Mom tried that way back in '72. It didn't work then either.  ). Daddy wouldn't let me change his shirt before pictures. Anyway, here he is and I can't wait to see what the next year will bring!!

Theresa, It seems like only yesterday when we both were waiting and waiting and waiting and then waiting some more. I always knew if you completed your adoption that it was possible for us to complete ours. During my darkest times of waiting, pictures of you in Russia bringing hunter home, kept my spirit alive and my hope. I am so thrilled to see these new pictures. Apparently, these St. Pete boys are a handfull, smart charming, witty but certainly a handfull. Hugs to you all as you celebrate the miracle of becoming a family!

Congratulations!! I never realized before that your DS is from the same Baby Home as my daughter! We will celebrate four years home in June. Enjoy your day remembering the journey!

He has gotten so big! And more handsome than ever -- I love seeing the pix through the years and watching them grow. Thanks for sharing your update of your special little guy; hard to believe how the time has flown by.
Congratulations on this special anniversary; he's just beautiful, and clearly thriving.
