We made it through court!!! We are parents!!!
After a few tense moments, and a few laughs yesterday (like when DH forgot our wedding date!!), we made it through court and are now officially parents to both kiddos!!!

We got custody of the little girl today, she is in complete shock but took her bottle and is now down for her first nap!! We have to wait the 10 days to get our boy, but will visit him almost each day...

Finally!!! Had to share, we are so excited, and can't wait to share their photos with you all, you have been so great throughout all this!!! Off to get organized while she is actually sleeping!!

Trip One call...we meet them on 12/26&27/06!!!

Feb 05 to Aug 06 unsuccessful in Russia
August 06, changing countries (paperchasing)
Oct 06 dossier sent to agency
Nov 06 dossier made it through the Embassy, now
it's on its way to Kaz!!
Dec 06 dossier at the first Ministry (MFA)
Jan 06 dossier now at second Ministry (MOE)
One more to go.....that's the regional one
Still hoping for LOI (letter of invitation) in Jan
Jan 31---dossier still at MOE, no LOI in Jan
Feb 16--We know our region--Karaganda Kaz.
Last step in the process--wait for LOI
March 15 07--received LOI
Left for Kaz March 21
Paperwork glitch but decided to stay while it was handled (hence the long time between leaving for trip and court)

that is wonderful news! You and your DH must be on cloud 9! Congratulations!

Just curious, why did they allow you to have the little girl but not the other child? We adopted two little boys at the same time so i'm just wondering about that...

Congratulations!! I would kind of think that only have your new DD for the 10 day wait is probably a blessing in disguise. I hope you can do some wonderful bonding and get to know each other before your DS joins you! So happy for you!
