Moscow Airport Hotels
I'm trying to find out the names of the hotels that are located at Mosocow's Sheremetyevo Airport. Apparently there is one hotel in the airport and one across the street. If anyone has an email address or phone number of either hotel please let me know. I guess you can post online or PM me.
Thanks |

The Novotel is in walking distance (even though they have a airport shuttle). The same goes for the "Sheremetyevo-2 Hotel". When we did not make our flight, we walked first to the Novotel. They wanted to have $ 500 plus per night. (Much cheaper if you make reservations ahead of time.) I almost fainted, and DH ran across the street to the "Sheremetyevo-2 Hotel". It looks rather shabby from the outside. But the inside is okay. They charged us $200 per night. Still too much, but a much better deal. The rooms were fine, we felt safe. The breakfast service was terrible. Good luck!
Just google these two names and you will find the information.

You can Google Novotel and make a reservation on-line, it is much cheaper that way. We stayed there one night on September 18th. The on-line rate was $199 but they charge around 20% taxes so it ended up around 250/night. They have free shuttle to/from airport, breakfast buffet is included in the room rate and the rooms are very nice and clean.

We recently overnighted at the Sheremetyevo-2 Hotel, it was ok, my only gripe was no hot water in the am. DH had it at night though. The room consisted of two twin beds which were comfortable, TV which got two BBC stations, the room was non smoking and smelled fine, we didn't experience any noise that I had heard about. we didn't eat breakfast, ate dinner there which was fine, just had cesaer salads which was pretty good. The money exchange machine was down which was really annoying. The lobby was very pretty, but the rooms were basic. Rate was 190. It was fine for the night, but this go around we decided to splurge on the Novotel, this is our last adoption, so we figured what the heck. Rate I got for the Novotel was 245.

Becky26 when you talk about the hotels, you mention both the Novotel and the Sheremetyevo 2. The only hotel that I've been able to find combines both those names and is the Novotel Sheremetyevo 2. That's why I'm getting confused. I've tried Google and other sites. I want to make the reservation ahead of time, but the Sheremetyevo 2 told me that the room charge is $315. How did anyone get the rate of $200 in any hotel? Also I'm trying to do this without getting a transit visa and the Sheremetyevo 2 told me that there is a shuttle that would pick us up at the airport and bring us back later in the day. They have a special section of the hotel for transit people. Does that other hotel offer this service also?

The cheaper and less nicer hotel is the Sheremetyevo 2 hotel, the better and more expensive is the Novotel Sheremetyevo 2. If you want you can pm me and I can tell you what sites I booked our rooms through since we cant provide links here.

I stayed at the Novotel, when my flight back to the US was cancelled. It's like an Embassy Suites, with the large open area in the center. I think it was 225.00 for the night, if I remember correctly. It was a very clean, modern hotel.
What was funny was while I was standing out front waiting for the shuttle, I talked to another American there. Turns out, he's lived about 15 minutes from me. I had to travel halfway around the world to find someone who's my neighbor. |

I just sent you a PM. According to the two websites that I listed, a double room would be less than $200 (probably still adding some fees...).

Kasey I tried to PM you but your box is full. I just wanted to tell you that I called the Sheremetyevo 2hotel, and they told me that I can't stay there without a transit visa. So we'll be doing the Novotel. They are able to give me a less expensive rate, but we can only stay in the room for 8 hours. I think that will be just fine,so we're going to make a reservation. Thanks for your help and your information. Congratulations on your referral and good luck with your pending court date.
