Back from trip 1 to Stavropol!
I created a blog. Wow, talk about overwhelming!

Doreen, SAHM C&D, b/g twins b. 1/23/02 Kristen  b. 7/12/84 d. 11/7/04James b. 3/4/01, g. 2/23/07 g(home) 3/1/07 Signed w/agency 9/11/06 1st trip to Stavropol, 10/22/06-10/29/06 Dossier complete and sent to agency 12/1/06 Court date assigned! 02/12 & 02/13/07 Got custody on 2/23/07 James arrived home on 3/1/07! Family finally re-united all under 1 roof on 3/5/07!!!! Blog of adoption/life journey...http://doreenat.blogspot.com/

Oh my Doreen, we brought Daria home from Stavropol so we know exactly where you are coming from with the in country flight to and from Stavropol. SCARY!!!!!
I hate to fly to begin with so I was panic stricken when we got on the flights. Very funny about worrying if the in country plane would blow up if a bird looked at it. Oh how I felt the same way. We travelled first trip day after Thanksgiving so the weather couldn't have been any worse. SNOW and ICE!!!

You are so right Shay. That flight was so scary! I remeber them de-icing the plane with a bucket and a hand held brush. I was petrified, it was so rickety I couldn't get my seat to recline and sat pitched forward the whole flight, while DH couldn't get his seat to stay up and he was laying back the entire time!
