Russian word for "water"???

Anyone know what the Russian word for "water" sounds like phonetically? My DD has always called water "Owa" and even though I highly doubt it, I am wondering if the Russian word sounds anything like this.

Thanks!

Vah-Dah (Vada) is the russian word.

вода -- which translates literally to Voda (o sound gives an 'uh' sound)

It's vada with a hard accent on the second syllable, so va DA

Thanks! That's right, I can't believe I forgot that I knew that word!

Her pronunciation sounds a little familiar [in 2 yr old way]. She wasn't talking when she came home, but who knows!
