I painted while I waited - our Play Room
I got a little bored during those many months of assembling our dossier, and waiting for our referral. We have a room downstairs that DH always thought was his play room, but I had to break the news to him that the room would be our baby's play room. I think the first thing out of DH's mouth was, "so no pool table then?". Ummmmm "No. That's a negative"
Anyway, new baby's bedroom is nice and relaxing so I wanted the play room to be bright and crazy. Who better than Dr. Seuss to help with that? So away I painted. This took a lot of patience, but it was really kind of therapeutic. I went all around the room painting the most popular characters. Not one wall is left bare. When I was done, I started buying toys, which was kind of therapeutic too! With out further adeu, I give you baby's play room (aka. DH's sore spot). PS - Note the TV at the top of one of the pictures. Yes, DH was seriously thinking the room was his for a while. Hi "Jroc"... What a wonderfully Happy FUN Room for your son to come home to!!! I grew up loving Dr. Seuss.... He helped me learn to read, when I didn't want to... he made it fun!!! I love your "Thing 1 and Thing 2"!!!!

Wow, what a great room! We're ready to come over and play since we LOVE Dr. Seuss!
 Seriously, you did a great job. I know your little one will have a ball, and once you are all home together, hubby will hardly miss HIS room, heh, heh. It looks awesome.

That is wonderful!!! I have to say, we tried some similar "therapy" in our babies room, but it sure didn't come out looking like yours did!!! Ours is chaotic in comparison, and transitions from ocean (my pick) to jungle (DH's pick) across two walls.......
But you are so right, it was seriously theraputic, although, we clearly are not as artistically as talented as you are!!!  Thanks for sharing, glad to know we weren't alone in our painting therapy!!
