I was wondering if there had been any type of waiting list created for those of us who are awaiting referrals? I look at Pinkie's waiters (those waiting for travel dates, court dates, etc)... but, I feel like I am a waiter (for the phone to ring) and wondered how many other people were waiting too.

Is there any way we could post a phone call waiter's list... those who are waiting, when they were placed on the waiting list, and what the type of referral they are requesting.

My husband and I are requesting two children, one little boy under 18 months and a toddler of either gender under 3. We have been officially on the wait list with our agency since June 6th.

Me, Me!! I'm waiting, too. We know that we won't be traveling before Dec. 1 due to my dh's job, but hope we will get the call soon for our referral!

Christi, you're absolutely right and it's something we probably should have thought about before now! Thank you for thinking of it for us.

What do you think about adding to my travellers thread, at least its updated on a weekly basis?

I can head it Waiting For A Referral and the information could contain, gender & age, region (if applicable), official wait date (the month and year would be sufficient).

What do you think?? I'll change my weekly Thread name from Travellers Thread to something more appropriate like Travelling & Waiting.

Christi, Mixtim and anyone else reading this, what do you think?? On the other hand someone could start up a Official Referral Thread and update it every week?

We're waiting too
For two kiddos, both under 3 boy/girl. Still waiting to see what region will work best. Oh, only been waiting for about 1.5 weeks (since we changed from Kaz to Russia that is, really been waiting almost 2 years!), but finally waiting again, I'll take it !!!

Was this thread intended for those waiting for a referral from Russia? If not, I'd love to join, we are waiting a referral from South Africa - once we get that, then we can travel within a month or so for pick-up.

There's a whole slew of us who have been waiting to get registered since May... Nothing worse than sitting on your date-sensitive documents, waiting for them all to expire. I feel like the kid at the ball game who never gets to leave the bench!

My DH and I are waiting for a boy under 16 months (Moscow, Russia). Our registration paperwork was sent 2/06 and we are one of the next on our agencies list once they are up and rolling again. We have recieved a list of our document expiration dates. Looks like we will have to sharpen our pencils again if things don't start rolling real soon !!!!!!!

My husband & I are waiting for our referral from Moscow, Russia. We are requesting a boy under a year. We have been told by our agency that we are the next on the list for a boy. We started our process last March and was hoping this month would bring some news. Still waiting with not much feedback from the agency or much movement from Russia.

Either way sounds fine to me! I guess I just wanted to have somewhere on here I could turn to in order to celebrate movement/referrals... and then moving up the line to the travelers wait list. I almost think if it were on the same list with the travelers, it would be more fun... so we could watch our names move from waiting to waiting on a travel date!

Sounds good to me. I'm a bit busy today with work but will send a new Thread out over the weekend asking people what they think of our new idea plus more people can add to it if they wish then I'll make the new Travelling/Waiting Thread.
