OT-Prayers please...for our friend who just lost her battle with cancer...at 34.
Sadly, our friend has lost her battle with ovarian cancer. Just last November, I posted that on Thanksgiving day we got the call that what was supposed to be a *simple* hysterectomy (sp) for fibroids was actually stage 4 ovarian cancer. She leaves behind her DH (just 34 as well) and two sons, 8 and 6...the 6 year old id DH's Godson.
She is now at peace...please pray for her boys...all three of them. We will miss you Heather.

May God bless your friend's family. I know all too well the pain that this can bring. I lost a cousin at 38 to something also found in a "routine" hysterectomy. Her children were older though. Those poor little ones.

Karen I do remember your post about your friend. May all three of her boys and all those who love her find comfort in the Lord.

Two boys (5 and 7) Feb 05 to Aug 06 unsuccessful in Russia August 06, changing countries (paperchasing) Oct 06 dossier sent to agency Nov 06 dossier made it through the Embassy, now it's on its way to Kaz!! Dec 06 dossier at the first Ministry (MFA) Jan 06 dossier now at second Ministry (MOE) One more to go.....that's the regional one Still hoping for LOI (letter of invitation) in Jan Jan 31---dossier still at MOE, no LOI in Jan  Feb 16--We know our region--Karaganda Kaz. Last step in the process--wait for LOI March 15 07--received LOI Left for Kaz March 21 Paperwork glitch but decided to stay while it was handled (hence the long time between leaving for trip and court) Court May22, 2007

My prayers are with them, and with you.
Please take good care of yourself, too. It can be very difficult being the mourner/caregiver/helpmate. No one seems to be looking after "the strong one." I lost Joan so many years ago, and adopted her kitty, Olivia Hussey, the day Joan died. Olivia died this year, in April, of a heart attack, at age 22. It was like losing Joan all over again. My best bud Marge died of breast cancer 2 years ago, leaving a husband, and 3 kids ages 2, 7 and 9. Life is weird. We don't always understand God's will. Hope you feel loved and cradled. I believe that you are.

May she rest in peace. Prayers going up for her and her 3 boys left behind. This man needs strength more than anything. I'm sure your family's friendship will help to guide him through this very tough transition. I am so sorry.
