Prayers please if you can...
I am sitting here in pain right now. It has been a horrific week. Doctors have pretty much ruled out appendicitis. I have a low grade fever, severe right sided pain, feeling nausea and just generally feeling lousy. Thank goodness we didn't end up in Russia this week. My lab tests are all normal. They can't seem to figure this out. I've told them they are going to have to probably just cut me open and see. They did more ultra sounds today. Results will be in 12 to 24 hours. great...that's into the weekend and you know they won't call you then! I have been to the ER. I just hate not being myself and dh has a horrific chest cold. He's miserable and on call this weekend. The house is barely functioning right now b/c it hurts to move. All kids are in school except for Alex who is used to having a more involved mom. I have to get better. HAVE to. We are now leaving in mid- end of September time frame. If I need surgery, it needs to be done asap so I can recover in time to fly. I'm nervous not knowing what's wrong w/ me. It's scary. So any spare moment, could you all send a little prayer or thoughts my way. This has been really tough. I'm trying to hide it from the kids but that is not working well b/c of the pain factor.
In addition to me sick, dh sick, we also have an unofficial dx of our 10yo daughter as RAD.(went to the psychologist this week) I'm too tired to tell you all what happened this week. It's going to be a long healing process, that's for sure. And again, we are finding no one that can help us w/ her. Irina is having massive transition problems into middle school adn don't know what to do about that. She is in special ed. The storm turned our pool green( least of worries...just makes me very nausiated every time I look at it). There are too many things happening and I've managed to get control of most. However, this is the last week for my fundraising before I have to send it in. We can't possibly campus the rest of the neighborhood in this condition. Tyring not to let little things worry me but it is getting rough here. I'm in survival mode, that's for sure. Any thoughts and prayers are well appreciated in advance. Thanks to all. Still anxiously awaiting more test results. I won't be on here for awhile if I'm going to have surgery. Take care,

Good Morning Stephanie.... Many, Many, Many prayers for you to feel better (and for the doctors to figure out what is going on)!!! This may be a silly question, but did they look for Kidney Stones or "Sand"???? I think if it where stones, you would be completely doubled over (I've experienced this horrid pain), but it may be "Sand"!!!
I pray that you feel relief VERY, VERY SOON!!! Blessings.............

Stephanie, lots of prayers headed your way!! I hope they can figure this out!! I was thinking kidney as well, or maybe even an ovarian cyst rupture, sounds like my sx when that happens.
Anyway, I hope you get some answers, I hope Irina turns the corner and I hope everything falls into place for your family.

what about your gall bladder? I had a friend that had to have hers removed, same symptoms, and same thing w/the dr's not knowing what was wrong for a while. Also - the gall bladder is just on my mind - my uncle is currently having emergency surgery to remove his.
I would at least insist the dr's look at it - it can't hurt for them to rule it out. Good luck - praying for you.

Thanks so much for thinking of me. Just got a call from the doctor. All ultrasound results are normal. So we are back to square one. They are now going to start me on an antibiotic through the weekend...Cipro. For a week. She said IF it is some type of internal infection this should knock it out. She's thinking diverticulitus or something to that effect. Keep your fingers crossed. Trouble is, I have terrible reactions to antibiotics most of the time. If this does not work, they will schedule me for a CT scan sometime next week. Urghh, and I thought Russia was hard!
Keep the prayers and thoughts coming my way. Still in pain and nothing has changed. Also, it's a holiday weekend and I'm supposed to go on a blane diet. Yeh, take all my fun away--LOL. Signing off for the weekend. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend. I will let you know next week what happens. Let's pray it is just some type of infection. Though I don't know why on earth it wouldn't have shown up on the bloodwork. Best wishes to all.

Hey Steph - said a prayer for you this morning. I know you have a full house and it's never easy being sick when all the itty bitties need something. Hopefully the doctors will find the problem next week. Until then, get some rest if you can. Mike

Appendicitis
I hope by now the Dr.s have figured out what is wrong with you, but I felt the need to add my two cents.....! In 2003, exactly 3 years ago TODAY, I had an open appendectomy with 30 staples to close me up. I had gone to the emergency room 2 times and 2 times to the doctor to try to figure out what was wrong with me. All tests were coming back normal. Finally, the 3rd visit to the ER, they did a CT scan (they put me through the big donut hole machine) and found out that my appendix was the cause! I was sent to surgery immediately for a laproscopic appendectomy, but they ended up opening me up. I really hope the doctors figure out what is going on with you!
