Adoption Family vacation 2007-who's going?
Hi guys!
Just wanted to start a thread so we can see who is planning on coming to St. Pete Beach for a get together next summer! We live here..and we are SOO excited!  And I think it will be great for our kids too!So....we're in! Me, DH and Hannah who will be 2....who else? (maybe's can post too!)

Praying for a baby girl under 1 year 10/7/04 Signed with Agency 12/04 Completed home study 1/21/05 Completed Dossier 1/25/05 Received I-171H 3/7/05 Dossier to Kemerovo  9/30/05-Got THE CALL! 10/11/05-Had to let her go...medicals  11/05-turned down second referral....medicals Dec. 05-Expired dossier redone Dec 05-sent dossier to Izhevsk 3/13/06 received REFERRAL!  3/16/06 ACCEPTED HER!!  4/8/06...First trip!!!!  Lost referral in-country got a new one! 4/11/06 Signed for a 9 1/2 month old girl!! 5/16/06 Leaving on Trip 2 COURT DATES May 23 and 25th! 5/26/06 GOTCHA!! our prayers have been answered!! We welcome our sweet angel Hannah to our family! 6/2/06 Home forever!

We are going ...me, Alex, who will be 4 the day before and Ari, who will still be 5. DH can't commit yet but I will bring my mom (or MIL) if he doesn't come. Or even if he does... I am so excited!  This is open to ANYONE touched by adoption BTW...got that confirmed last night.

Karen,
On your other post you said it's open to "any adoptive family' and here you said 'anyone touched by adoption'. I just want to make sure you know those are two very differnt things...also wanted to know if you could find out which it was and reply...in case others who are touched by adoption, but aren't adoptive parents, want to go.

I don't think there are clear cut "rules" about teh trip, but I do know that it was intended to get adoptive parents and their adopted children to get together and celebrate with each other. They are going to try to set it up every year so that our kids can grow up with other adopted friends.

My familia of cinco will be there if we aren't in the looney bin by then. I will also have secret service detail and a pink bikini... but that is all I can say. You'll have to come and see everything for yourself and see the rest. Oh, and it will be my 10th wedding anniversary! Have I mentioned that before???

I will be there with my daughter who will be 10 and my son who will be 4..both through domestic adoptions(actually my daughter was adopted through foster care)

We will be there! DH and I and our two little girls - Gracie (who will be 3) and baby girl #2. Do we have dates and such available yet?
