James' surgery

Surgery is over....and our James is amazing!! (For those of you that don't know, James had surgery for wandering eyes (exotropia)) Not a single tear all day from our James(mom can't say the same)! The surgery went off without a single complication, recovery was great and so much for the nausea...he was eating graham crackers and had had two drinks by 45 minutes after surgery! James is one strong boy.

When he was coming to he looked at me and said...MOMMY...I see two of you...hahahaha...am I funny? It was sooooo cute!! Of course, all it did was make me cry harder. (Side note...he is supposed to have double vision and be cross-eyed for about a week).

Someone once said that motherhood is taking your heart out of your chest and letting it walk around...today I was reminded of that. My James is such a big boy and we are so proud of him!

Thanks for all of the prayers!
Krista

While I am not familiar with your situation, I am very happy to hear that the surgery went well. Surgery is always a scary proposition (especially with what you hear in the news occasionally).

Praying for a speedy recovery!

KRISTA! I had James' surgery written into my outlook calendar. So I kept looking and looking for "jkclinton" and couldn't find you... I forgot the second "K". Eek!

Anyhow... I'm thrilled to hear things went well. I did think of you all often and I'm happy James came out of it so well!

We'll keep praying for you! Mike

What a relief to have that behind you. Glad that the little man is recovering so well. It took my daughter 1 1/2 hours to come out of the anesthia and it was starting to get a little scary. Thankfully all was well - she does like to sleep.

Thank you all for your support. James is doing great...I just can't believe how easy it's been! I've been praying a lot though so I know that has something to do with it!! Kaylee just had surgery to get new tubes on Friday so it was a high stress week we've just gotten through. I'm so glad it's over!! Thank you all again.

Mike...thanks so much for trying to find me. You have such a kind heart and your Godly spirit pours out all over these boards!! Thank you.

Krista
