Prayers fo Jax
Our little guy had the same done when he was 13 months old. He had some scarring on his left kidney and numerous bladder and kidney infections so we decided along with several visits to the best kidney, uri. ped doctor in our area to have it done. The surgery went perfect. I was very upset that day as well but the whole family came and sat with us. (I know the family is a little obsessed we our son.) We had play by play, minute by minute updates. The Ped's nurses were awesome. (6 nurses for our little guy.) They held him til he woke up and made sure he drank something. You might want to bring a special cup or bottle that he uses. Max did not want to use their bottle. You would have never known what he went through. He was so good. One piece of advice or warning, the medicine they use to numb our son wore off later that night and the first time he pee'd he cried more like a shriked, gasp. But then he was fine. Nothing to be alarm over, just the sensation of urinating again might shock your son. Other little boys do not even do that. Max is now 2.5 with no more bladder or kidney infection.
And we are happy because the kidney's are working with no problems. We will pray that your son has a smooth recovery. |

Thanks, everyone!
OK....we're leaving for the hospital right now. I feel so supported - thank you all! Jax is hungry and a little cranky but otherwise doing great. Me, well, I'm holding up! Thanks for the prayers. I'll post updates later.
God bless you all! Shawn
