anyone else get letter directly from Russia in mailbox?
Hi to the List,
When I went to the mailbox this afternoon, I got a typed up business letter in Cyrillic in my mailbox. It came directly from Russia from the Tver Region. Has anyone who has completed an adoption or is in process received a similar letter to date? I can read the cyrillic alphabet(took two years of Russian language in college) and my mom teaches english to Russian immigrants and between the two of us we can decipher that it has to do something with rules of picking up the children in Russia. Tomorrow I think Ill go to the shipping store because the guy who owns it is Russian. I hope he can translate it for me. Has anyone else received anything like this? This was the first time ever I got a letter from Russia in my mail. It was kinda cool actually. Thanks, Amy K NJ

That's a new one. I adopted from Tver, but it was several years ago. I would think that your agency should be able to help decipher it. There are some more recent Tver folks out there too. Maybe they know something.

Wow Amy! I bet that was a bit of a surprise. I haven't heard anything about this before. Good Luck and let us know if your agency says this is normal.

Never a letter on its own, when we got our dossier back from our original agency it was sent directly to us from the regions, there was a small note attached with Cyrillic writing, but I didn't bother getting it translated, could have cared less at that point. Just wanted my documents!
But that is interesting, let us know what it says!

Good Morning Amy.... I too haven't heard of this before either!!! You will have to post and let us know what it says, and what the agency says about it. Maybe it was sent to you in error, when it needed to be sent to the Agency... OR.... This is new! How cool.
I order some things for DD from Russia, and she loves to see an envelope or box waiting for us when we come home. She has to look at the writting first... If it is from Russia, she knows it's alittle something for her to put in her room (on her "Russia Shelves")!!! Looking forward to hearing what this is... Blessings.......

Never happened to us. Maybe it was meant for your agency and they addressed it to you by mistake.
