Hi to the List,

We are trying to think of all of our options. WE have our full dossier for Russia. Perhaps we will give Russia another chance. I'm just not happy with my agency anymore and we plan to bail. I called European Adoption Consultants earlier today and they said that it's very likely I can transfer over my dossier from my former agency to theirs.

I wanted to know if anybody on this board has used EACI in the past few years? If so, can you please PM me feedback on this agancy? I'd basically like to know about the courtesy of the staff, and the quality of the referrals.

Oh Amy, I hope this is a possibility! That would be wonderful if you didn't have to start all over, but you could continue to move forward in Russia AND find an agency that is understanding and respectful of your wants and expectations!

Good thing is this agency is open on weekends. I got a lot of information from them and they will send me phone numbers of past clients.

I am also trying to glean information on the boards about this agency. If they sound good overall, then maybe we'll just make this lateral switch.

Given that I know who your current agency is, I am sorry to hear that you are having such problems; I think that you were truly right in trusting that your current agency would lead you in the right direction (their reputation was fairly stellar), and I am troubled to hear that they are not. I think that even in the best of agencies, there may be conflicts in personalities and such between the various players. I do not know anything about EAC, but I'm sure there are several others here that do... I agree with an above poster to check the agency thread at top. I too hope that you will be able to move laterally rather than have to start again.

If you do decide to make a major switch, I would again encourage you to look at the realisms of Russia right now... Limited information, moving to no information at all, and medicals that remain questionable. Asking for change to that is like asking a zebra to change its stripes. Given that, I totally agree that you deserve to be able to advise your agency of your limitations, and have them respect that... It appears that your agency gave you a referral that went contrary to those expressed wishes, and that is something that shouls go directly to the agency director.. not just back to the social worker.

I do hope that you find a clear path very soon.

Yes i am having luck. The responses from people have been wonderful and I'm getting feedback on the agency. I will call them this week and see what we have to do to transfer. Most likely we will move in this direction.
