Leaving tomorrow!!
Hard to believe the time has finally come. We are leaving tomorrow to bring our son home forever!!! It still seems so unreal to me.
I guess because I haven't even begun to pack. So I am off to get started. I will keep you posted. Dina

Two boys (5 and 7) Feb 05 to Aug 06 unsuccessful in Russia August 06, changing countries (paperchasing) Oct 06 dossier sent to agency Nov 06 dossier made it through the Embassy, now it's on its way to Kaz!! Dec 06 dossier at the first Ministry (MFA) Jan 06 dossier now at second Ministry (MOE) One more to go.....that's the regional one Still hoping for LOI (letter of invitation) in Jan Jan 31---dossier still at MOE, no LOI in Jan  Feb 16--We know our region--Karaganda Kaz. Last step in the process--wait for LOI March 15 07--received LOI Left for Kaz March 21 Paperwork glitch but decided to stay while it was handled (hence the long time between leaving for trip and court) Court May22, 2007

Still packing and packing and packing. It is less stressful in some ways the 2nd time around. The unknown was so scary last time and having to care for a baby. I feel a little more confident. Last time I had no idea what any of the gear was for, I was freaked out by what to feed the baby and quite honestly about everything.
This time around the anxiety is more like not forgeting documents, the whole travel thing, and leaving my daughter. Still anxiety but different. I was packed and ready for a month the last time. Also I know I can get almost everything I need in country. I didn't realize this last time, so you don't have to stress about the small stuff. I will probably eat these words, but right now I feel okay. Tomorrow will be a new day. Dina
