Re-adopting in VA

Anyone form VA re-adopt once they got home? We are thinknig about doing this, I just wanted to know how easy or hard it was and were to start.

Hi,
Yes, we are in the process now. I wish I could have gotten all of the paperwork and just filed it myself (the attorney has been moving slow), but once she got started, we are just waiting. I just went in and filled out a form, she got copies of the original birth cert, adoption decree and citizenship cert. Once that was filed with the court, our post-placement agency has 90 days to file reports (we had to have 3 in the first 6 months) and after they do that we should get the new birth certificate in the mail.
So, basically, just a lot of waiting after the initial forms to fill out. If you decide to hire an attorney, we just asked for names from our homestudy agency and then went from there.
