Two years ago today we met William and Timothy....
well, they were Damir and Roman then, but today is the day that we watched nervously as our little guy walked down the long hallway at the orphanage in Volsk and shook our hand at the end of his long walk.....and then about 30 minutes later they brought in his best friend so we could see more of his personality (he kept asking for Roman....)
The whole 2.5 hour car ride back to Saratov, Lee and I just sat there in stunned silence thinking about whether or not we could imagine adopting BOTH of them... and how crazy were we for even considering it?? Well, they are home now and are 5.5 and 6 years old and doing great! Alli |

They are adorable. I'm so glad you were able to open your heart to both of those cuties- it's a tough choice to adopt two at once. I have so much respect for the people who do it- I would be completely overwhelmed. Congratulations!!

Trust me, overwhelmed didnt even touch my or my husband's thoughts and feelings for at least the first year!
FINALLY, we've found joy and confidence in our abilities to be anyone's parent! It was definitely a trial by fire experience for us but we did it and we're so glad! Those of you in process, you'll find yourself struck when its all over by small milestones and dates and things you remember that will grab your emotions more than you ever could imagine -- and at odd times even! alli |

I will always remember the story of the two best friends who got to be brothers. And I will never forget you...just when I thought I was the only one about to lose it...you shared your story and struggles. You;'ll never know how many you helped by doing that.
Your boys look wonderful!!! Congrats!!
