The good: The bubbling feeling that life was just meant to be like this, and other things happened in my life for a reason-- to lead me to her
The bad: the utter lack of privacy - I couldn't use the bathroom for about 9 mos without an audience, couldn't have even the smallest moment to myself - I expected an older child to be able to pacify/entertain themselves for at least 5 minutes, but no.

lack of privacy. I could not leave my sons eye sight in the beginning either. I had to shower while he slept. |

The Good: How well they are both doing developmentaly. Great adjustment to language and no EI needed for either child. We expected the worse for both children but especially for Sam as he was older and was considered "sickly" by the judge. The Bad: The first few months were really hard. Lack of sleep, everyone getting sick over and over again and the temper tantrums made for a rough first 3 months!Christina

I have been quite surprised by how well he is adapting to everything in his new world. Also, he is learning English very quickly. He doesn't say much, but he understands MUCH of what I say.
Sleeping has been an issue, but it is getting better every day. And we are working on some rashes...that seem to come and go bizarrely! All in all, not at all what we were prepared for...thank goodness! We have been very lucky and blessed.
