Out there on the ledge, tempting the adoption gods with Rainy
OK. I stole this from Rainy. Please cut me some slack, I have been waiting for a first trip since I committed back in October.
 Any day now I will be truly committed. So far, I have managed to keep those 2 guys following me around with the white jacket at bay.  So, I have my grandmother's 80th birthday party coming up. I have an outing planned with my niece and nephew at the end of the month. I scheduled my vacation and paid in advance for my hotel room. Next step is to start decorating my guest room specifically for my little one. Nya nya no boo boo adoption gods.  All together now RRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!! Thanks to everyone for providing a place to vent, a sympathetic ear and loving support that keeps me sane (relatively speaking) Michele/ga fan

Michele - my theme song for the whole adoption waiting process was "They're Coming to Take Me Away Ha Ha...They're Coming to Take Me Away Ho Ho Hee Hee Ha Ha to the funny farm..." and you get the rest.
Welllllll, no one ever came to take me away (I still wonder some days if they are waiting for JUST the right moment)!. Hang in there... and plan away...seems to be the best way to go about this! RING RING RING RING RING.

Dear Michele,
I hope that phone rings for you soon. Adoption can be so hairy at times!!!! Take it one day at a time, and maybe call your agency weekly to get updates( I doubt they have a problem with that). Amy K, NJ ring ring ringring ring ring

Two boys (5 and 7) Feb 05 to Aug 06 unsuccessful in Russia August 06, changing countries (paperchasing) Oct 06 dossier sent to agency Nov 06 dossier made it through the Embassy, now it's on its way to Kaz!! Dec 06 dossier at the first Ministry (MFA) Jan 06 dossier now at second Ministry (MOE) One more to go.....that's the regional one Still hoping for LOI (letter of invitation) in Jan Jan 31---dossier still at MOE, no LOI in Jan Feb 16--We know our region--Karaganda Kaz. Last step in the process--wait for LOI March 15 07--received LOI Left for Kaz March 21 Paperwork glitch but decided to stay while it was handled (hence the long time between leaving for trip and court) Court May22, 2007
