Same region -- DEFINITELY!! Same agency -- I don't know for sure. They got us through VERY fast, but there were some things that I wasn't so happy with. I'd have to think about that one ....

I would likely us the same agency. I certainly would go back to Tver, but I don't see an issue of children in one home coming from differnt regions. I think that I would go back to the same issues that concerned me the first time,

Timing
Ease of Travel
Adoption Friendly
Single Friendly
Likely to waive 10 days

With a child at home, the shortest travel would be the most important factor to me.

We liked Vladivostok! We ARE going back to the same region...using the same agency!

There are always some things you would like to see changed....I think that may be the way of life!

No to the agency...yes to Samara...probably no to Tomsk...which is sad...but it is a very tough region...especially having two kiddos at home...although we are probably done adopting from Russia anyway....sigh...

Yes to the region of Volgograd and a huge YES to the same orphanage in Kaltch!!! We loved that orphanage and the people there, very poor but wow what they did for those kids!!!

Unfortunatley our agency is closing their Russian program this month!

The orphanage Maddie came from was good and we liked the region BUT...I voted for another region next time because if we adopt again I would like to not to have to go far from Moscow.

The 4+ hour flight to Kemerovo plus the not so desirable accomodations there made traveling a lot harder. I got very sick on our 2nd trip. Luckily we were staying at the Marriott Grand at the time and were able to call the hotel doctor who took me to the American Medical Clinic.

So if I adopted again I don't want to have to go too far from a Marriott.

I am on the fence about using the same agency again. Of course we are very happy with our daughter and we liked the orphanage our agency had in region. But we were left in the dark throughout our adoption and felt like just a number, and it took us a lot longer to get a referral than people using other agencies at the time.

another great poll - good idea waiting!

Would love to adopt from same region and agency - their accrediation is expiring soon though but hopefully they get it back when we are ready...they even try to have the kids come from the same orphanage so that would be cool (plus I think my child got pretty good care there!).

Wow! Looking at the results so far, I am glad to see that most of you are happy with the agency you chose. I think that's a credit to this forum. You continually stress the importance of doing our homework and recearching the agencies/accreditation etc....
