We took the "don't tell anyone about it to begin with" route - except for immediate family. When they asked I purposely gave them exaggerated timelines so that they weren't asking all the time either.
We only told most people 3 days before we left for trip 2 - including work (though my boss knew). Court dates and trips were getting canceled left and right...I told everyone I went to Ireland (for trip 1) - which we did stop overnight and saw my family so it wasn't a total lie... Hang in there Amy. I don't think there's anything wrong with saying you just don't feel like talking about it. Hugs Karen
