Don't do this...
Can you believe that both my DH and I forgot our 2nd post placement visit yesterday? The only funny thing about it was that I had a conversation wtih DH yesterday morning because I had just signed us up for a research study with the St. Louis University Int'l Adoption Clinic and we were comparing calendars to schedule the at home visits. I told him that I didn't have the next post placement visit on the calendar and thought it was soon. Ironically, at 4 pm that day, our SW showed up at our door.
Well, at first I was impressed that the house was relatively clean and that DH was actually in town. My DS had two crowns (age 3) done that morning so we were all home and hanging out. Well, everything was fine until she asked to see Ella's bedroom. Did I mention that we left the house at 7:30 for the doctor's apt?? Needless to say, beds were not made and bedrooms were a mess. I had taken summer/spring clothing out to change over Ella's dresser and the blue rubbermaid bins were still in the middle of the room and laundry was stacked on the dresser. Also, you could clearly see our unmade bed across the hall, can you say mortified? Since this was our second adoption, thankfully, the SW had been to our house about 8 times by now, but still, moral or the story is don't forget to mark down the post placement date in your calendar... Thought everyone could use a laugh today! Aslo, cannot resist a picture of the kids.

HA HA HA HA I can totally relate!!!! There are days I would be scarlet red if someone showed up at the door!! The other day Alex made a "carpet of flowers" out of her underwear - all across the floor!! -Little pink "flowers", blue ones, striped ones... I didn't realize the child has like fifty pairs of panties!!! Luckily, no one showed.
Don't worry...I'll bet that gal has seen it all!!
