And should I feed her? I'll offer tea (nach) but is it thoughtful or brown-nosing to have muffins, cookies, brownies? I feed my friends, but....

I truly don't remember asking my social worker anything much except, how long it would take her to complete it. She pretty much did all the questioning and of course I'm sure that led to questions from my part.

You can have muffins, tea, etc. Mine never would accept any, but I think it's nice to be able to at least offer. Good Luck!

It depends upon the time of day and the length of the visit. The SW should have given you some idea of how long the visit will be or if there will be multiple visits. It varies. In NJ you have to meet with the SW on three separate occassions.

I always have a beverage available now that I know my SW - she will only accept a glass of water. In the beginning I made sure that I had a snack ready. My pre-adoption visits were generally right after dinner time. They never lasted more than 1 hour.

As for questions, mine were process oriented. What did she know about the process and what little things that I could make sure that I do right to keep things moving. She provided me a list of things that she needed and I got them to her as soon as possible. She provided me a workbook on visit one that I completed for discussion points in later visits. It was no big deal.
