Translation of Birth and Adoption Certificate
I am getting ready to send ds's birth certificate away to be translated so that we have a copy written in English. I also have a copy of the adoption certificate. Do I need to send that along with the birth certificate? Do they translate both? If anyone has done this recently, please let me know what the process was.
Thanks

I'm not sure, but maybe send a certified (notorized) copy of the Citizen Cert.
Before I left Russia (adopted from the Moscow Region), I received the english translation of Adoption and Birth certificate (which was attached - stapled to the Russian official copy. Also received translated papers of Court decree, Mother's Death Cert., ALL documents regarding where she stayed, while in the system for 5.5 years, etc.

Nancy:
We have everything translated but our agency did it. They were all translated before we even left Russia. The agency also provided certified copies stating that translator was fmailiar with both languages and they are fully and correctly translated.

We also had everything translated before we left Russia, so we have Russian and English versions of everything.
Maybe call your agency and ask?
