Sent Another Message to Oprah....
Hi All.... Just wanted to let you know that I followed up with Oprah with another email....
I once again requested that she show the other side of Adoption..... whereas 1,000's and 1,000's of Happy, Healthy, Thriving Children exsist in their FOREVER American Families. I tried to appeal to her through statistics, and told her that Adoptive parents/families would be glad to tell of their experiences, etc.  I emphasized on the bleak statistics of the number of children, some of the conditions (ones that I saw first hand), and the 'faces' of the children.  I will contine to write to her every month or so, until they tell me to stop or put a show together.  I know that alot of you had joined in the "writting campaign" of several weeks ago, so I wanted you to know that I am still trying.  Could you imagine.... an entire Oprah Audience of Russian Adoptive Parents..... What an experience that would be.... We could really get the word out!  Blessings.........................Allison

Good idea Allison. If we continue to write letters and make calls, we will be heard.
I just got a response form Senator McCain, who is also and adoptive parent. Hopefully we can get some help from him. -Bdaddys other half

Is there an email address that I could also write to Sen. McCain??? What are you asking him to support/do?? I will affirm the same if I can too write to him. Let's hope someone helps with this soon!!!

I was just thinking that the other day. I will send follow up letter as well. I believe if any one will tell the story, she will.

Two boys (5 and 7) Feb 05 to Aug 06 unsuccessful in Russia August 06, changing countries (paperchasing) Oct 06 dossier sent to agency Nov 06 dossier made it through the Embassy, now it's on its way to Kaz!! Dec 06 dossier at the first Ministry (MFA) Jan 06 dossier now at second Ministry (MOE) One more to go.....that's the regional one Still hoping for LOI (letter of invitation) in Jan Jan 31---dossier still at MOE, no LOI in Jan Feb 16--We know our region--Karaganda Kaz. Last step in the process--wait for LOI March 15 07--received LOI Left for Kaz March 21 Paperwork glitch but decided to stay while it was handled (hence the long time between leaving for trip and court) Court May22, 2007

Hi "Lovestruck"...
I really want the "other" side of the story to come out. It is just horrible that 14 or so families had done such horrid things (which they should received the full extent of the law), but there are sooooo many THOUSANDS of very Happy, Healthy, Thriving Children here in the states now, whereas if they remained in Russia in the system, would not have much of a chance as young adults!!!! Why doesn't ANYONE want to know the TRUE facts, and these wonderful People and children????? Drives me totally NUTS Thanks for continuing to write!!!
