Goodbye and thank you!
After much thought, we have decided to change agencies and countries as our agency is still not reaccredited. We've been on and off this rollercoaster for over two years now and need to move forward. We have decided to pursue a Kazakhstan adoption. We truly feel that this is the right decision for us. This is the best I have felt in many many months. It actually feels good to redo the paperwork; at least I'm doing something about it.
I just wanted to say thanks to all of you who answered my questions and gave me support. I also want to wish anyone still waiting the best of luck. Congratulations to those of you who have waited so long for accreditation; I hope you bring your children home soon. Thanks again, MW

Good luck to you! I just met the woman who handles th ein country referrals for a large agency on Saturday. She discussed the process for Kaz and told all about the country, its people, ethnic diversity, etc. Rest assured you will find the people most hospitable in Kaz. Good luck! Bring that babay home and do pop in to tell us about your forever family!

I was happy to read that you are happy with your decision. I wish you the best of luck! I hope that you will keep us posted on your new path. I hope things with Kaz will move quickly and smoothly for you and that you have to get that babysitter soon!

Two boys (5 and 7) Feb 05 to Aug 06 unsuccessful in Russia August 06, changing countries (paperchasing) Oct 06 dossier sent to agency Nov 06 dossier made it through the Embassy, now it's on its way to Kaz!! Dec 06 dossier at the first Ministry (MFA) Jan 06 dossier now at second Ministry (MOE) One more to go.....that's the regional one Still hoping for LOI (letter of invitation) in Jan Jan 31---dossier still at MOE, no LOI in Jan  Feb 16--We know our region--Karaganda Kaz. Last step in the process--wait for LOI March 15 07--received LOI Left for Kaz March 21 Paperwork glitch but decided to stay while it was handled (hence the long time between leaving for trip and court) Court May22, 2007

Best wishes to you . Glad to hear you are moving forward. You have to be persistant in this process and it sounds like you are. Hope all goes well for you. I agree with the other posters, keep us updated! I have met several children adopted from Kaz and they are beautiful !!!!!!
