OH MY GOODNESS!!! It's so nice to hear of another child who has an absolute door fetish. James goes nuts for doors. There is a door toy at preschool and he plays with it for the entire 30 minutes in the playroom and will not let other children play with it. He cries if his sister gets out of the car before him because then he know she will beat him to the door...and he wants to open it!! He is going on 3...this is weird!! The doctor has admitted it seems a little obsessive compulsive but not to worry at this point. James has unscrewed door handles, plays with doors on entertainment sets, has worked through all devices put on doors to keep him from playing with certain ones...it's crazy!!
Nice to hear of someone else going through this!!

Fun thread - great to hear about Ashton Beauregard's latest antics - and those of all of these kiddos!
Danny (18 months) is another member of the "I love doors" club. He MUST close all doors, saying "doe ahl duh" (door all done) - he even shut DH in the closet this am. He also LOVES to throw things down the stairs. We live in a split level, so he takes the fridge magnets, and pitches them over or through the gate on at a time, giggling uncontrollably. Then he goes to his room to drag his basket of cars to the gate to "roll" them under and down, "brrrrmmmm - go!". That is his absolute favorite. He does the opposite with his crib. When not in it, he puts things through the slats. So I go to put him down for a nap and find little people, cars, animals - even a tv remote! Another current favorite is to "help" Daddy get eady for work. DH lets him hold the shaver with him and Danny is very serious as they shave Daddy's face.
