More Mardi Gras pictures ... or Fasching (as we call it)
It was so much fun to take Colin to the "Fasching" at our German church. Unfortunately, he did not like his long braids too much. Anyone else with Mardi Gras/Carnaval/Fasching pictures...?

How wonderful. No fasching here although we went to Octoberfest. Are you teaching Colin German? Samantha knows German, English and working on signing. Oma, Opa and me only speak German and everyone else English. It's been no problem whatsoever.

Yes, I am only speaking German to him (no sign language here). It is amazing. He looks at DH and says "please". He turns around, looks at me and says "bitte". He knows exactly which language goes with which parent.

I have to say, your right. When we came to the US I was 2 years old and I don't remember learning two languages, I just did!!! The little human brain is amazing!!! Samantha is just the same, German to Mamma and English to Pappa.
