Bulgarian adoption gone bad $10,000 Kazakhstan adoption stalled $8,000 Multiple INS and homestudy updates $2,000 Home equity load sitting in limbo waiting to complete an adoption somewhere $30,000 Not being able to make the housepayments once this is over... Priceless!  Kay

I've always thought they should do a commercial for these! We could be the poster child for these commercials---LOL. Here's what I've come up with with some of our adoptions:
For our Serbian Adoption: Agency & Program fees-- $8000 Dossier paperwork--$120 Air Travel, hotel, food--$4000 Finally touching down on American Soil w/ your new son....Priceless. Our Russian Adoption: Program & agency Fees--$12000 Airfare--$5500 Endless mounds of dossier papers--$4000 In country expenses--$5000 Finally being reunited with your son and daughter after 10 long months of waiting.....Priceless. Our First Russian Adoption: Agency & Program Fees--$12000 Airfare--$1400 In-country Fees, lodging, etc.--$6000 Announced new parents of your first son & daughter....Priceless. Can't wait to hear others.

Employer adoption benefits putting you into AMT and underwitholding penalties... Many, many hours of lost sleep (and other things...  ) from parenting...2 daughters forever...Priceless.

Preparing two rooms, two closets, three hearts for two more children....$20,000 Going to Siberia in 0 degree cold and eating McDonald's ALOT...$12,000 Bringing home two new people to get to know, love and spend the rest of your lives with...priceless. (I honestly can't remember exact cost, I'm guessing my DH does!)

17 yrs of wanting children -
11 yrs of IVF treatments and failures - $100,000 1 yr of checking agencies, filling out paperwork, paying fees - $25,000 2 trips to Siberia/Far east russia in Winter - $13,000 Coming home with our beautiful perfect son who smiles at me with the most beautiful blue eyes.....Priceless!! and yes we have Master Card to thank!!! 23 infertility cycles and 2 surgeries - $xxx,xxx.xx 1 mess of paperwork and aspostiling - $x,xxx.xx 1 trip around the world and 1 Russian adoption - $xx,xxx.xx singing "twinkle, twinkle little star" to the boy who is the answer to every wish upon every star you've ever seen...priceless

Okay, I have tears from everyone's sappy posts!
Here's mine (although the last line hasn't happened yet) TTC a little miracle-Lost track!$$$ Russian Fees and paperwork for a little angel-$22,000 Preparing a room/house for the little angel-$6,000 Too many tissues used for "waiting" so long-$$$$$$ Added Russia fee and paperwork for TWO little angels!- add $15,000 E-baying too much for second angel-$3,000 Trip #1 to Siberia during record breaking temperatures (-39 degees)- $5,500 Checking e-mail, home phone, & cell phone every few minutes for a court date- No money, just the cost of my sanity! Tucking our amazing little girls in for the first time-PRICELESS

Two boys (5 and 7) Feb 05 to Aug 06 unsuccessful in Russia August 06, changing countries (paperchasing) Oct 06 dossier sent to agency Nov 06 dossier made it through the Embassy, now it's on its way to Kaz!! Dec 06 dossier at the first Ministry (MFA) Jan 06 dossier now at second Ministry (MOE) One more to go.....that's the regional one Still hoping for LOI (letter of invitation) in Jan Jan 31---dossier still at MOE, no LOI in Jan  Feb 16--We know our region--Karaganda Kaz. Last step in the process--wait for LOI March 15 07--received LOI Left for Kaz March 21 Paperwork glitch but decided to stay while it was handled (hence the long time between leaving for trip and court) Court May22, 2007

more stupid advice then I care to hear paperwork, blue pens, phone calls, $$$$$ losing position (not job) while out on FMLA having to go to the doctor because I twisted my ankle taking son down the slide for the first time…. PRICELESS

Countless/endless paperwork $x,xxxx.xx One last minute cancelled trip to Siberia due to databank changes $xx,xxxx.xx Two Trips around the world $xx,xxxx.xx The dance of a little boy down the hallway at Toronto Pearson International Airport to many family and friends waiting to meet him - ABSOLUTELY Priceless!!!!
