I'm not sure if you all remember, but I signed up for a Russian language - Beginner class through the 'Adult Education' program. That's been going good all-be-it slow. With the first 3 classes down, I know my Russian Alphabet and can sound out some words. The thing that has helped me a lot is a group of lessons via CD I checked out at the library. It's called 'Russian - Short Course by Pimsleur'. I'd love to get the next couses but the library doesn't have anything further.....and purchasing them new is pretty expensive.

Would anyone be willing to sell me or lend me some of the other courses? I was hoping to get Pimsleur Comprehensive Lessons 1,2,and 3. I am really enjoying learning all this and don't want it to stop. Just PM me if you have anything available.

I got the CDs on Amazon pretty cheaply a couple of years ago. I think it was about $20 for each series. You can check there, sometimes they also have used copies for sale.

Kim, was that for the Quick 'N Simple or Get Started in Russian series?? $20 for Comprehensive in too good to believe. I've never seen them, even on eBay or Cheap Pimsleur for less than $165 per level of the Comprehensive lessons.

jroc, have you asked your library whether they can get the lessons you want on inter-library loan or refer you to another library that has them?

Thanks to all for helping out here. I have requested that the library purchase some more of the lessons, but they told me it was no guarantee. I got the number of the person in charge of the purchasing and figured I would talk to her directly. The problem is that if they decide to purcase them, it could take months and months. By that time, the little bit of Russian that I know will have leaked out of my little head and I'd have to start at square one.
