Sending off our application
Hello all. Well, we are taking our first steps. We have decided to send our application to Children's Hope International and get the process started. I hope we picked a good agency, it is really difficult to find accurate feedback on places. Wish us luck

Two boys (5 and 7) Feb 05 to Aug 06 unsuccessful in Russia August 06, changing countries (paperchasing) Oct 06 dossier sent to agency Nov 06 dossier made it through the Embassy, now it's on its way to Kaz!! Dec 06 dossier at the first Ministry (MFA) Jan 06 dossier now at second Ministry (MOE) One more to go.....that's the regional one Still hoping for LOI (letter of invitation) in Jan Jan 31---dossier still at MOE, no LOI in Jan  Feb 16--We know our region--Karaganda Kaz. Last step in the process--wait for LOI March 15 07--received LOI Left for Kaz March 21 Paperwork glitch but decided to stay while it was handled (hence the long time between leaving for trip and court) Court May22, 2007

it IS a big step. and it IS a long process. kretz gives you good advice. keep your focus on other stuff as you plod along meeting the requirements ahead of you.
i'm happy to hear your news - that means another child will have a family soon!!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. We are very excited but understand that it is still a long road ahead of us. I am sure we will be back on here often with questions, right now we just do not know what we don't know yet

Hi Jeremy
Best of luck to you and your wife. At first the idea of all of the paperwork seems daunting, but if you take it step by step, it's not so bad. Also, Ive heard good things about CHI so I'm sure theyre good in terms of dossier preparation. Since Ive come to this board everyone has bent over backwards to help me.
