ok I feel down in the dumps
I have been in the process for what seems like a life time...... we still do not have any dates to speak of I have never asked but can you all pray for us I am loosing hope......

I am so sorry you have waited so long and are still waiting - you are not a downer - you have every right to be bummed out and I can just imagine some days are even worse than others. It is hard to be strong and positive all the time and that is why we are here to help in any way we can - whether it is to commiserate or try and pick you back up. It just sucks - please know you guys are in my thoughts and prayers - I hope you hear something soon. Some how some way there is a reason for all of this you just have to trust at some point you will say you wouldn't change a thing! Hugs Karen

Kim, I am right with you. I started in August 2004 in Bulgaria. July 2005 switched to Kaz. Got my paperwork into the embassy the day they decided to return them all for new forms. So now, my INS is expiring, I have done multiple dossiers, been to Lansing over 20 times. I am bouncing back and forth between the Bulgarian special needs program and Kaz. And, on the same day last week, found out the the Bulgarian SN program and my Kaz dossier were delayed to a July travel at the earliest. That puts me at 2 years and counting. You figure if you are in 2 programs - one of them would progress BUT NO!!!!!!!!!!!
I do not know how to get out of the dumps. I just want you to know there are others with you. I am trying to emotionally distance myself from this whole crazy thing, but it is hard. It is affecting my work and my daughter. Hugs to you, and maybe a real good cry! Kay

Two boys (5 and 7) Feb 05 to Aug 06 unsuccessful in Russia August 06, changing countries (paperchasing) Oct 06 dossier sent to agency Nov 06 dossier made it through the Embassy, now it's on its way to Kaz!! Dec 06 dossier at the first Ministry (MFA) Jan 06 dossier now at second Ministry (MOE) One more to go.....that's the regional one Still hoping for LOI (letter of invitation) in Jan Jan 31---dossier still at MOE, no LOI in Jan  Feb 16--We know our region--Karaganda Kaz. Last step in the process--wait for LOI March 15 07--received LOI Left for Kaz March 21 Paperwork glitch but decided to stay while it was handled (hence the long time between leaving for trip and court) Court May22, 2007
