Anyone hear of this adoption trafficking story?
Has anyone heard of this story? Russia, U.S. Halt Activities of Adoption Firm Suspected of Human Trafficking http://www.mosnews.com/news/2006/01/24/yunona.shtml My agency coordinator emailed me tonight in reply to my inquiring as to the slowness of things in our region and told me to call in the morning to get info from her about a new scandal in Russia. She was going to get the info from the coordinator in Moscow and he was watching it on the news when they spoke. When will these things ever end? We just want to bring our daughter home.....

Wow, that is a little scary. I am going through the same region, but we're still waiting for a referral. Please post when your agency lets you know if this has any effect.

Yes, there has been coverage of this in the news for several weeks now in the US, although the "trafficking" thing is something new. There are several threads on FRUA about this, too.
