fingerprinting

Marianne - It happened to me in 1998 when local police departments were still allowed to do the fingerprinting. Since this happened, I went to INS and they did several different fingerprint cards. Since it costs them money to send in more than one card to the FBI for evaluation, we determined which one looked the clearest and sent it in. INS got the clearance from the FBI a couple of weeks later and I got the 171-H a couple of weeks after that.

thanks for the reply. Went down today to the INS- it SEEMS that the FBI's machine was not reading the prints clearly and over 35 individuals had to be redone in one week. I am one of the lucky ones I live in the same town as the INS office is. They redid me and hopefully I will not hear form them again. Again thanks.......
