Back from Saratov with the best ever Christmas gift!
We are back from Saratov with our little girl. We were in Russia for over 3 weeks, had a great time, but we are so glad to be home. We came back a week before Christmas and hit the ground running, literally! She is 2, we got her on her birthday, and she is amazing! Here are some pictures of our sweet Faith Ann.
Kellee P.S. Her "Gotcha" day is also her birthday, any suggestions on making this less confusing for her as she grows up? Has anyone else had this happen too? Thanks!

Oh my, she's a beauty and you all look happy as a family.
One thought regarding "Gotcha" day and birthday. You could always do something to set a tradition that involves a part of the day ( doing the same thing each year) and your family only. Then go ahead and celebrate the birthday with everyone else.

As far as the "gotcha day" (as an adoptee, I really dislike that term), you could have a "family day" or a "Celebration Day" (the term used in my family when my sister and I were little) and use the date of the readoption. Best wishes!

Congratulations!! I see from you signature you were a long time waiter between trips. What an adorable little girl! I especially love the picture in her winter coat.

Two boys (5 and 7) Feb 05 to Aug 06 unsuccessful in Russia August 06, changing countries (paperchasing) Oct 06 dossier sent to agency Nov 06 dossier made it through the Embassy, now it's on its way to Kaz!! Dec 06 dossier at the first Ministry (MFA) Jan 06 dossier now at second Ministry (MOE) One more to go.....that's the regional one Still hoping for LOI (letter of invitation) in Jan Jan 31---dossier still at MOE, no LOI in Jan  Feb 16--We know our region--Karaganda Kaz. Last step in the process--wait for LOI March 15 07--received LOI Left for Kaz March 21 Paperwork glitch but decided to stay while it was handled (hence the long time between leaving for trip and court) Court May22, 2007

Oh, she is beautiful! How exciting for you, and right before Christmas! We had to wait four months between trip one and trip two.... and it nearly killed me. That is the worst, when court dates are cancelled. But the wait is OVER! Now the race of being parents begins.
