Details of our trips
I have FINALLY finished our blog one month after being home.
While we were in Russia for both trips I journaled EVERYTHING. (DH says I only missed when we went to the bathroom although I think I got that a few times.) My original intent was that I wanted to be able to keep all of the memories to share with our child one day so that she could know every detail during our process in Russia. When we returned after our first trip DH wanted me to share it with the family. I was going to just make photo copies for our immediate family so they could be part of our experience. After talking with some of the kids I used to work with they taught me about blogging. (I didn't have a clue what a blog was). I thought this might be a neater way to share with our family and add some pictures so they could actually really feel like they were there with us. Since I put it on the internet I shared it with a few friends (I tried to update it most days we were in Russia until the end of our second trip) and the next thing I knew I had LOTS of folks reading it. I then started thinking about how helpful Nungesser's info was to us and wanted to share with those who will hopefully soon be going to Russia to get their little angels. I must say that I tend to be VERY chatty and it is VERY LONG but filled with LOTS of details. If you go back in the archive (scroll down a little and it's on the right side of the page) first to August and start at the bottom, that starts our journey. I have included LOTS of pictures. I hope that you will enjoy reading it (makes for good potty time reading ) and that our shared experience might help some.Jamie http://www.johnsonmoscowadventure.blogspot.com/ |

I just finished reading your story. Marvelous!!! I cried while I read. Through my tears I kept thinking of how I felt at those times.
I also thought about everyone waiting, beleive "us" when we say it will happen for you also. When it does all the thing you went through to get here will seem so far away.

Your story is so touching; it brings back so many memories. Nothing compares to the feeling once you are finally a "forever family." It makes it all worthwhile. Best wishes and God bless as you continue to grow together into the loving family you were destined to have. So happy for you!
