MMR immunization - reactions?

Sean had his MMR about 11 days ago. The last two days he's had a temp of about 103 on/off. Never higher than 104. I've been giving him Motrin. He's been very fussy and cranky.

Did your baby/ies have a reaction to the MMR? Did it go on for many days, or finish up within a couple days?

The doctor told me to expect poss. reactions within 10-14 days, so we're right on schedule. Just not sure how long they will last for. I'm going to call the Dr. too in a bit, but figured I'd ask here too.

Thanks!

Alex had a very similiar reaction to his MMR. He ran a temp of 104 and had broken out in a rash all over. It lasted a day or two and then went away. I just gave him Motrin and Tylenol and it seemed to help.

My daughter had the MMR when she came home from China. She had no reaction at all.

My daughter had 104 fever, about one week later - Christmas eve - she was tired, cranky and not feeling well for several days.

How much fun our holidays were.

Something that does help is giving Tylenol and Motrin on alternating scheduled, so that the wearing off period for one is covered by the other.

Great suggestion - I've been challenged by the dose regulations of the Motrin.

He is better this evening - no temp! Hopefully we're over the worst of it.

Jeanette, do you need the dosage recommendations for infants? If you do let me know, I'll scan the weight/dosage chart for you.

Thank you for the offer - that is really nice! I do have it...it is a matter of finding it. The fever is gone now (luckily) and looks like he is pretty much his old self.
