those who have adopted girls can you please tell me what there russan name was. our referral did not say what her name is so just trying to see what girls names are????

marina, lena, vika (short for viktoria), valentina, anna, anya, olya, tanya, donna.... these are all names of women/girls i met in russia.

Hi!
Our first referral that we lost was Vera. Our daughter was and is named Anastasia. Ana for short. We had friends whose daughters name was Sergeyevna while in Russia.

Our daughter was and still is Anastasia. She was called Nastia in Russia, but we used her full name now.

well our first referral that we lost after waiting 8 months was katerina and we loved it we are hoping to keep this one if it is reasonable.... keep the names coming

I haven't received my referral yet, but I have several friends in Russia. Their names are Nina, Marina, Oxana, Yulia, Sveta (Svetlana), Olga... they all seem to end with "a".

Well, we have a boy, but in Russia we met many little girls at the hotel. We met Viktoria, Svetlana , Oksana , Aleksandra. These were their Russian names, not all names were kept.

Ah...that will be revealed on or after the 22nd...but they start with "A" in Angliski! And they are the same names as in Russian...other than the change in alphabet and a minor tweek to hopefully insure "proper" pronounciation.
