Question Has anyone considered switching agencies

. . .to one that is already accredited versus waiting for your agency to recieve their accredidation. It just seems like an endless wait and my DH and I are getting tired of sitting around waiting while our little girl is growing up without us, so we were thinking about contacting agencies that are already accredited in our region and seeing if they can help us bring our little girl home sooner vs. later. I just have no idea how long this process would take and if it makes sense to switch or just wait. That waiting is so hard lately. Has anyone's agency said anything about the being reaccredited, our's just said that they have no idea when, but hope that it will be soon. Any advice would be great.

Thanks!

Waiting, my advice is it can't hurt to research your options even if you don't end up switching agencies. If it turns out not to be possible, at least you won't keep kicking yourself for not trying. If it is possible, then you have choices that you don't have right now. Not easy choices, but choices nonetheless. It will be a step forward.

We switched agencies and were glad of it, but it was a very different situation from what you're facing. When you already have a referral, it's much more complicated. But people have done it successfully.

We just left our agency. No referral, and accreditation was denied. They claim they will umbrella, but we are tired of waiting. Another client did switch, and are in Russia right now meeting their little boy. Make some phone calls and see what other agencies have to say.

Thanks for the feedback, I did put a call into one agency today just to see what they have to say, like you said Alison it can't hurt just to know what our options are and if we have any other option other than waiting.
