While researching and preapring for DW and my trips to Russia to adopt Ashton Beauregard, f/k/a Candidate #3, I compiled a pretty good stock of favorite Internet sites related to Russian adoption and travel. Knowing my favorites would be on my PC at home while I was in Russia, I copied them to a file and e-mailed them to myself so I could have them wherever I had an Internet connection. I recently came accross the file and thought some of you may be interested in some of the favorites I compiled. Many aare already familiar. Some may be new.

Here of some of the topics covered:

• Very detailed English and Russian language maps of Moscow and St. Petersburg.

• Send a free English language text message from the Internet to a mobile phone on the Russian MegaFon network.

• Photo re-sizing instructions and software downloads.

• Ratings for hotels and apartments.

• News, information, and weather.

• U.S. Government information on Russian travel and foreign adoption in general and from Russia specifically.

• Russian travel tips - the ones for men traveling to meet Russian women are some of the best.

• A Western expatriate site with news, information, reataurant ratings and just about everythig else a Western expat living in Russia might want to know.

• Translation sites for both text and URLs.

• Adoption related organizations.

• IA Physicians.

Just re-code them so that they are links under a title. But only one or two overflow on my browser window...which I keep at just slightly bigger than 800 pixels wide; about a third of the screen area on my 19" LCD display.
