I'm still alive!
Hey everyone!
I haven't been on here for months! I have been so insanely busy and tired this summer. I used to always post and read while I was at work or when the kids were napping when I was home. Well, I now nap when they do - I'm so tired! I'm 30 weeks along with baby Drew and I could literally sleep all day. The kids have kept me hopping, though. No rest for the wicked with these two! I'm actually at -8lbs at this point in my pregnancy! All I ever do is run and play. I pray for rainy days so I can convince them to stay inside and watch movies! Hayden went to pre-school M-W-F from 8-12 this summer, and Helena was extra needy. They are total best friends and play together super well! I'm afraid my princess is a tom boy! Hayden is TERRIFIED of bugs and Helena shows no fear of them. Whenever we see one, Hayden runs away and cries, while Helena goes and gets a shoe and kills it! Helna has been sleeping in her big girl bed for about a week now. I'm trying to get her out of the crib for baby Drew. They are both super excited for the baby to get here and we have been watching babies be born, so they know how the baby will get out of my tummy. Helena has been practicing rocking her baby dolls, so she is ready for Drew. She is starting to potty train, and will tell me when she needs to pee pee. Most of the time, I'm too late, but she has made it quite a few other times. They are both doing well developmentally. Helena can count to 5 using her fingers and is starting to learn her ABC's - she can get to "F". She climbs like a monkey and build great block towers. She is learning to jump and hop and has been getting into hop scotch. She uses a ton of full sentences and has a fantastic use of grammar. Hayden is catching up to his age mates. He has excelled in counting - can go to 50 unaided and loves to help others count. He has mastered his ABC's and knows several songs all the way through. He is still struggling with his fine motor skill, but can form many letters. His writing is very shaky at this point, though. He is doing better with his gross motor skills. He can do a summersault and is a great jumper and climber. He is really gaining upper body strength (he had zero when he first came home) He still struggles with balance and has a hard time hopping and balancing on one foot. But overall, he has come such a long way in a year! Helena is still super into kitty cats and Hayden is a train freak! We are going to go see Thomas next Saturday and he is really excited, although disappointed that he won't be able to drive Thomas! Here's some recent pics of them, so you all can see how much they have grown.

Thanks for the update. The kiddos are adorable. Look how long Helena's hair has become. Hayden has such a beautiful smile. Thank you for sharing your beautiful family.

So good to hear from you! So its another boy? Congrats! You will have a lot on your plate but its all good! The kids are just gorgeous & seem to be transitioning so well. I am so happy for you! We appreciate hearing about life after adoption as well! stay in touch!
