Third Time's A Charm. Announcing the adoption of Charles Lane Tennison
Charles Lane Tennison officially became part of our family at 1:27 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2005.
After a mad scramble this morning to the TB clinic for chest xrays, another psychiatrist for another signature, and back to the hospital for final paperwork, we arrived at court at noon. Then, the orphanage inspector didn't show up. Our driver was sent to pick her up, and court started. There was a new prosecutor this time, as the original lead prosecutor was not present (hooray). The judge was very businesslike, but we could tell she was on our side, as she smiled several times while Randy was talking. She returned with the decision after about 5 minutes, and it was official, Charles Lane Tennison has new parents. The 10 days was waived (even though I forgot to ask for it. The prosecutor said "So, do you want to stay in Astrakhan another 10 days, or are you going to petition to have it waived? If you like it so much, that's fine!" She was very funny) Then, a mad dash to the government office to get his new birth certificate, and back to the hotel to change. So, we will pick him up tonight! Thanks so much for all the prayers. They really did help. We really couldn't have gotten through all this without everyone's help. Randy, Kim and Charlie Tennison (officially a family).

Praise the Lord! You have been thought about a lot in this household! We have prayed for you and your family! I just got chills while reading your posting!!
