A Little More Information on Astrakhan Medical Report

Our agency rep wanted us to tell other families that it may cost up to $350.00 here to have the doctors exams. I tried to explain to her that a head CT in America would cost thousands of dollars and insurance would not pay for it, but I'm not sure she understood. So, there are somethings that it might be better to do here. If you bring as many lab results and x-rays as possible, it helps. But, they have to be within 3 months to be used.

We actually got the form finished today. So, we are ready for court tomorrow. Thanks for all the prayers regarding getting the report done. It sure helped. And now, we ask for prayers for court tomorrow.

I've been following your story and I really cannot believe that they are making you see local doctors. It's ridiculous...I honestly think it's just another way to force you to boost the local economy. I am so sorry about the added worry and expense that it's caused you and I hope that you'll be able to make your visa deadlines and all of your flights. I'll say a prayer for you guys. Our court was also bumped 2 days because of a made up request (by the judge) and Galina and Vika were able to get everything done and we made our flights and were out on time. Good luck

Lisa

Please let us know when you are out of court. You are in my thoughts.

Some bumps on this road are a lot bigger than others.

I'm sorry that you had to do this but I'm glad you were able to get it taken care of quickly.

I hope court goes well for you.

Kim,

You had said you were going to see an oncologist as the last step in the 8-doctor process, in Russia. Can I ask if that doctor performed any test--for example, breast exam or Pap smear? I have a tendency to "lumpy breasts" which are always benign cysts, but I would want to be prepared if I needed to be examined by a Russian doctor.

I hope by the time you read this your court proceeding has finished smoothly and you are parents!!
Thanks so much for sharing your information with us.

Jaydee

You are definitely in my thoughts and prayers for a swift and happy conclusion to this scary bump in the road. Best wishes and God bless. Keep the faith.
