In connection with the comments which have appeared in mass-media in occasion of check by the State Office of Public Prosecutor of execution of requirements of laws regarding activity of representations of the foreign organizations on adoption of children in territory of the Russian Federation the Ministry of Education and informs sciences of the Russian Federation.

From March, 10th, 2005 ? 268 powers on delivery of sanctions to opening of representations of special representatives by the foreign states of bodies and the organizations on adoption (udochereniju) children on territories of the Russian Federation and to the control over their activity are assigned by the Governmental order of the Russian Federation to the Ministry of Education and sciences of the Russian Federation. In connection with that up to the specified decision the given functions have not been assigned to one federal enforcement authority, there was a situation at which to 85 organizations accreditation has not been prolonged. Powers for stay of their activity at Minobrnauki Russia were not.

Now the Ministry according to the given powers spends work on ordering activity of the foreign organizations on adoption. 42-iy the organizations with correctly issued documentation give reports on conditions of a life and education of children on which the positive conclusions from the corresponding ministries and departments (the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, Rosmednadzor) are received. Accordingly, and sciences of the Russian Federation are given out by the Ministry of Education of the sanction to prolongation of their accreditation. On other organizations the question will be solved only at performance of requirements of the legislation by them.

The first session of the Interdepartmental commission concerning adoption which structure includes representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rosmednadzor and other federal enforcement authorities on June, 30th, 2005 takes place. At session the question on refusal in accreditation to the organizations which are not carrying out established requirements will be considered also.

The Basic direction of work of the Ministry concerning adoption is a toughening requirements to the organizations on adoption regarding performance of requirements of the Russian legislation by them. Including entering of respective alterations into the legislative and other normative legal certificates regulating activity of representations.

With a view of an openness and in interests of knowledge of citizens of the Russian Federation and the interested organizations the Ministry has opened the Internet-site www.usynovite.ru about adoption of children in Russia. On it all necessary information on conditions of adoption of children in Russia is placed. The presentation of a site takes place on June, 1st, 2005 at 13 o'clock in the House of Cinema (street Vasileva, a.13).

On all facts of infringements in activity of representations on adoption in territory of Russia the Ministry will lead careful, all-round check then will be taken measures according to the current legislation.

We waited 6 months for our first trip which we finally went on last week. Now when I read something like this I get scared... I really don't think my heart can take much more, if we get delayed again I will be devastated.

i'm so glad you got to make your first trip! I hope you get a court date soon. I assume after the judge returns from vacation in August? We had the same scenerio.
