These pictures are great, everyone! Thanks so much for sharing them with us. It does take a little bit of the element of the "unknown" away, making the journey seem a little less intimidating. I hope to be able to see all of this in person soon!

I really love these photos! Nungesser, you are CRACKIN' ME UUUUUP!!! Talking about seeing Shay and Daria's name at the Madisson!!!
I do have one question - WHAT WAS I DOING WHEN WE WERE FLYING OVER GREENLAND????????? I wished I had seen those breathtaking scenes!!! Wow!!! Thanks to everyone posting pictures - I want to go back!! I can't wait until Olya is older and we both travel to her homeland. I hope she will want to do that.

I LOVE this thread! Thanks everybody for posting pictures. It does help you know what to expect. When DH travels to Astrakhan (we think in late May), I'll be sure to post some pics of that, since it's not a region everyone has heard of.

This was of a wedding party in Moscow as they traveled to one of the main tourist spots for picture taking. Apparently that's some type of tradition. I don't have many pictures, but I have quite a bit of video of 4 or more couples as they did this. I wanted to show my son some of the traditions of his homeland when he gets older. Some of the dresses were breathtaking.
