a room for 2....?

As many of you know, we signed papers to adopt two little guys last July... but a Russian family has taken legal guardianship of the five years old. We are waiting for our court date to bring the six year old home.

Anyway, here's a photo of the room we have ready for him. Our hearts hold out hope that one day there will be two little Russian boys sleeping in this room!

I stenciled the Bible verse in English and Cyrillic. Even though I don't understand it all, I know God IS faithful!

So beautiful. I hope you hear soon about your court date for your son, and that there will at some point be a brother in there with him.

Votemom,
The room looks great. I continue to have faith that your "chosen" second Russian child is on his way.

Very touching

What a beautiful atmosphere you've created for your little boy! I hope that your dream comes true very soon and you find another little boy to be his forever brother.
It's amazing how things work out.

thanks for your kind words everyone. the stencil isn't arched or crooked - not sure why it photographed that way.

sometimes I go in that room and pray......... anyone else have quiet moments in their child's room?

sigh.

Votemom,
Yes, my children's rooms are my favorite rooms in the house right now. Although, I can't bring myself to go in them very frequently. I have gone in and remade the beds and pulled out their clothes and refolded them. I often just sit on the edge of the bed and picture my child being here. My prayers have turned into the desperate pleas of a drowning woman, begging for some relief. How are we going to get through this votemom?

Red face

Absolutely, VoteMom! I spend time in her room a lot lately. (We just got the call that our court date is on April 1st!) I look through her clothes, read her books, check out her toys, rearrange things... My husband and sons see me doing it, but don't say much. They seem to be better at waiting than I am. I look through the part of her life story book I've already created, and then I get back onto this forum to see if anyone else has received good news!

I've bought her just enough to get her started. I'm trying really hard not to buy too much initially. I want to meet her first, and then I'll get more.

I just feel that I want to be doing something to move closer to the reality of her.
