What happens if a Notary Expires before Court?

We submitted our Dossier August 2004, traveled blind the first week of November, accepted a referral Nov. 4th. At that time we just knew we would be done before we had to redo any paperwork. We had originally applied to Ukraine but decided things we too unstable there, so we redid our paperwork and sent it to Russia, where things ran smoothly (LOL). So our homestudy was originally approved April, but revised August and says so on the homestudy. Our caseworker says that will be okay. But the Notary that Notarized everything for the homestudy, her commission expires March 25th. Has anyone had this happen, what do you do. I am assuming that there will be a problem since we were also told to make sure the notaries don't expire within a year.

We had one document that would be needed for trip two that the notary was going to expire, it had to be re-done which sucked because that meant another 2 hour drive for me to the DOS to get it appostilled!
Good luck!

Yes, usually they have to be redone. It's always a good idea to make sure the notary seal is good for at least a year when doing paperwork. Longer is better.

Hello,
This happened to me just before our first trip with almost all of my paperwork and it had to be re-done. Megan
