Re-accreditation/Accreditation issue?
My wife and I were waiting on a court date when this whole mess kicked into high gear last month. We traveled to the the Rostov-on-don region in mid November and soecifically to Taganrog to mmet out soon on Nov. 16th. It is hard to believe that a door can open and your heart be changed forever by looking at a 7 month old baby. But it happened, the caretaker was standing in that open doorway with our son in her arms and just one look is all it took.
We have been assured that our son is off the data bank registry and is ours, that children have to be "released" before international families can travel on a referral. We have also been assured that all we are waiting on is the Re-Accreditation/Accreditation part of this current shut down to be resolved. All of the information I have seen posted and discussed has been about the amendments to the family code. Does any one have any information or leads about this issue? Sorry it took so long to get to the question; but, since we are southerners we had to find at least one bush to beat around before getting to the point.

If you have traveled on your 1st trip already, and accepted your referral, then the baby was off the registry at that time. Perhaps once they get back from holiday on Jan. 10th, you'll hear something about court. Good luck!

We are also waiting for the re-accreditation issues to be resolved so we can go get our daughter. SO far there is no info whether this is being worked out. I am hoping and praying that the next few weeks things on the Russian side really pan out with the new committee that is suppose to be formed and that they start issuing the accreditations. PRAYS FOR ACCREDITATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, Your situation mirror ours very closely. We were all set to go get our 2 new ones before all this accredidation mess kicked in. We're hoping for good news in the next couple of weeks. Feel free to keep in touch and share any news. Our local agency thinks it will be all cleared by the end of the month. John & Jackie in Indy
