Hi Christina,
Laura was home for Thanksgiving and we were trying to figure out when you'd be getting home. Congratulations! Sam and Sophia are both adorable, and you looked so happy! Hope all goes well for little Sam during his surgery and hope his recuperation is smooth. Good luck-I'll check in with you later this week.

Hi Christina, I second what all the others said - you do look great for having just flown halfway around the world to get these 2!! I do have one question for you - you said that the baby was 5 months. I thought that in Russia, the children needed to be on the registry for at least 6 months before being eligible for international adoption? Did your region have different requirements?

Our referral had to be on the registry 3 months only.

Heather - we got the referral for Sophia when she was 3 months old. We saw her at 4 months and got to bring her home at 5 months. 3 months is the longest a child has to be on the registry in our region. We did not know this before the referral so when we received it I thought we would have to wait to pick them up! It was a happy surprise to get her home so soon!
