AlabamaDan2be,

Many of us are with you and I'm not sure how all of those other people even got on this board... They clearly are not eagerly awaiting their little bundles from Russia...

Anyway - don't take it all too seriously. I guess you just hit a nerve or two

To answer your question, this forum is not segregated…meaning anyone that is a member of Adoption.com can post on any forum on the site.

We're awaiting children from Russia and I see value in the thread. Do not presume to speak for others. There is nothing to be gained by this Russian Adopters vs. Others attitude.

I'm curious then..

How do they stumble upon our humble posted frustrations? Do they cruise all of the forums looking for people to jump on?

Frustration in adoption is not limited to those adopting from Russia

Of course it's not limited to only Russian adoption.

But the Russia Adoption forum is intended for that. We share our joys, our fears, our frustrations. I love to come in to this forum and feel 'not so alone' in all of this. Today, I constantly felt drained, and was sad to see so many people I have grown to admire attacked.

This thread is intented to connect with AlabamaDan2be with something positive for him. If you want to continue the heated discussions of today, please do it elsewhere...

I believe this was explained on another thread…but incase you missed it, I’ll repeat.

Many of our members don’t come here to specifically participate in one forum…they look at the forum as a whole, based on the threads posted on since their last visit.

I’ve illustrated the method they use to view the entire forum below.

I will also follow it up with a second screen shot of how they see the forum

Thats just it....noboby was attacking anyone else. I wish you all well and I do think that you are doing what you need to do. The problem arises when an "outsider" comes in and justs gives an opinion it us considered attacking. ther were comments made about adoption in general, there weree comment made about bmoms in general...that had nothing to do with russian adoption. I feel that I do have a right to interject my opinion as adoptee because your children will be adoptees....if I see something I disagree with I will comment...it is an open forum....your passion for adopting is wonderful...my passion for the youg adoptees is also very important....

I did not attacjk anyone...I told the truth, you saw it as attacking. Maybe you should think about that.

Lakimnafite,

Your not in a position to tell people where they can and can not post…furthermore, it was you who brought the ugliness of the other thread to this one…not the other way around.

I’m not participating in this thread as a member; I am participating as a moderator…

Lakimnafite,

I do not subscribe to any particular thread. I look over them all and then respond to the ones I feel interested in. Many people do the same.

Just because I am not adopting from Russia does not mean I can't interject in one of those threads. I have never, until now, felt that I wasn't welcome in any area on this forum. In fact, I have learned a lot about international adoption from reading "your" threads.

You are more than welcome to visit the area of this forum dealing with the type of adoption I have chosen. You are free to post your feelings even if they disagree with mine. I hope to learn from you and I hope you learn more about foster care adoptions by reading my posts. You are always welcome even if you disagree.

I would never presume to have the market cornered anywhere on this forum. For you to assume that your area of the forum is not open to all is offensive.

Has Michael been banned from the entire site, or just this forum? I see that his "notation" is now listed as "banned.." If he has been banned from the whole site, I feel badly for everyone that a discussion has turned so ugly.. I'm sure that was no one's intention when it all started (not defending anyone.. just making a comment)!
